Electronic Diagnostics!

Almost all new engines now are electronically controlled, and must meet Tier II EPA requirements. The goal is to make a virtually smokeless diesel, a far cry from what we’re used to over the years. In order to accomplish this, injection pressures range from 20,000 to 24,000 psi and higher, with multiple or two-stage turbocharging, and complicated pre-burn and after-burn controls. This requires elaborate electronic hardware and software to monitor fuel supply, cooling system, lubrication, engine load, exhaust temperature, intake temperature, etc., in order to deliver maximum performance under the most severe conditions.

Electronic Diagnostics

We are pleased to now offer electronic diagnostic support for Caterpillar®, Cummins®, and Detroit Diesel®, using CAT® Electronic Technician, Cummins Insite, and Pro Link for DDEC® I, II, III, and IV. This is in addition to the MAN-Cats II computer diagnostics which we have been involved with for some time. We can also service your Duramax, Power Stroke, and Dodge Cummins, as well as Navistar engines.

This broad coverage enables us to be even more versatile to our many customers up and down the east coast, as the poor economy has forced many shops which focus on one or two engine brands to close down or cut back in personnel. If your Cat, Cummins, or Detroit Diesel (now MTU) is out of warranty, give us a call and let us have the opportunity to show you what real personal service we can provide.
